Lab-Grown Diamonds

We decided to use only lab-grown diamonds.
While mining natural diamonds has a long history, the entire process from deep underground to becoming a finished piece of jewelry is sometimes complex and difficult to trace. Furthermore, the process of mining natural diamonds has a severe environmental impact. Traditional mining methods often require large-scale land destruction and have a significant impact on local ecosystems.

By choosing ground-grown diamonds, NOLL mitigates this impact, eliminating the need for quarries altogether.
By shifting to lab-grown diamonds, NOLL ensures that every diamond has a clear and ethical provenance, significantly reducing our environmental impact and aligning our materials with modern luxury ideals.

Today, diamond craftsmanship has transcended traditional cutting and polishing skills. The creation of lab-grown diamonds is itself a combination of precision technology and innovation. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds. The only difference lies in their origin: they are not mined underground but cultivated above ground.

This process, called chemical vapor deposition (CVD), is a perfect blend of innovation and sophisticated craftsmanship. It begins by placing a thin diamond seed crystal in a sealed pressure cooker. The pressure cooker is heated and injected with carbon-rich gas. This gas then decomposes, allowing pure carbon atoms to bond layer by layer with the seed crystal. Ultimately, a complete diamond is born, and this innovative process can be powered by renewable energy provided by solar panels.
